Our team boarded on Hespérides boat in the campaign FICARAM, Pedro, Suso and Miquel arrive today, 22th May, to Cartagena (Murcia, Spain) and tomorrow they will come back to Barcelona. They've been from 21th April during a month sailing from Recife (Brasil) to Cartagena sampling and monitoring CTD-O2 profiles and analysing salinity.  The FICARAM campaign has as objective to investigate the temporal evolution of the antropic carbon and to evaluate the capacity of absorbing CO2 in the South Atlantic, Ecuatorial region and subtropical region of Azores-Gibraltar. Furthermore, we add to this campaign the global objective of DOREMI project whose goal is to examine biological and biogeochemical mecanisms limiting dissolved organic carbon (DOC) mineralitzation in marine systems, from a multidisciplinary and multifocal perspective.All this objectives are framed in the workpackage 5 led by Dr. Aida Fernández Ríos and are part of the european project FP7 CARBOCHANGE (funding nº 264879, http://carbochange.b.uib.no/).
